HHC disposable

Single-use disposable pens have taken vaping convenience to new heights. Ultra-efficient and a breeze for first-time vapers to get the hang of, these devices are worth every penny. But which brand should you choose for HHC disposables?

HHC is the closest hemp-derived cannabinoid we have to THC, although it hasn’t yet attracted the fanfare of delta-8, another THC alternative. Regardless, HHC is the hemp industry’s hottest new prospect, with disposable vape pens best-sellers.

In this guide, we will explore vape pen safety and how HHC stacks up against other sought-after cannabinoids. Let's start with my top three disposable HHC vape pens of 2022!

Top 3 Begin Here

1. Best Selling HHC Disposable Pen

CBD Genesis – HHC Disposable Pen (2000mg)

CBD Genesis – HHC Disposable Pen (2000mg)

CBD Genesis showcases its experience with these fantastic HHC vape pens. These massive 2ml disposables pack a heavy punch, with premium-grade HHC distillate and delectable natural terpenes bringing intensity and flavor.

The pens have discreet, jet-black aesthetics with no discernible branding and an ergonomic mouthpiece with a breath-activated mechanism for hassle-free vaping. Users love the smooth throat hit and lack of clogging with these pens.

Genesis disposables have a USB type C charging port, so you won’t suffer a drop-off as the tank runs down. With a broad five-strain selection, there is a disposable for everybody – and don’t fret, they are all third-party lab approved!

Strains: Maui Wowie (Sativa), Purple Urkle (Indica), Slurricane (Indica), Ekto Cooler (Hybrid), Pink Kush (Hybrid)

2. Most Popular

Honeyroot Extrax – HHC Disposables

Honeyroot Extrax – HHC Disposables

Honeyroot Wellness and Delta Extrax have bashed their brains together and come up with an impressive set of 2-gram HHC Disposable Vapes. High-grade HHC extract blends with HHC-O, HHC-P, live resin, and terpenes for enhanced effects!

Honeyroot Extrax Disposables are legal with less than 0.3% THC, but the additional ingredients cleverly maximize flavor and potency. HHC-O and HHC-P are obscure HHC offshoots that bring much to the experience.

This device has a multi-colored light that shines red when it needs charging. You can recharge the built-in 280mAh battery with a USB type C cord (not provided). Honeyroot Extrax’s disposable HHC vape pens are third-party tested and approved.

Strains: Green Crack (Sativa), Strawberry Cough (Sativa), Blue Dream (Hybrid)

3. Runner Up

ELYXR LA – HHC Disposables (1000mg)

ELYXR LA – HHC Disposables (1000mg)

True to form, ELYXR LA has an enormous range of HHC Disposables, with six permanent strains and three limited edition pens in their collection. These vapes contain 1000mg hemp extract, although they make 2000mg disposables, too.

ELYXR uses purified HHC distillate for clean and smooth vaping and infuses plant-derived terpenes into the e-liquid for natural and authentic flavor. But with HHC and the brand logo emblazoned on the device, they fall short if you need discretion.

However, ELYXR’s Premium HHC Disposables are of stellar quality, and with so many options available, you can hone your experience! KCA Labs comes through with the third-party lab reports.

Strains: Amnesia Haze (Sativa), 99 Problems (Sativa), Apple Fritter (Indica), Pink Rozay (Indica), Bonkers (Hybrid), Kush Mints (Hybrid), and more!

What is HHC?

What is HHC?

Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a naturally occurring and lab-synthesized cannabinoid, legal in the U.S. under the 2018 Agriculture Improvement Act (Farm Bill). HHC is a hydrogenated derivative of THC and roughly 80% as potent.

However, while HHC is technically a naturally occurring substance, it is only found in cannabis as a degradation byproduct of THC, similar to cannabinol (CBN). And since cannabis produces minuscule amounts of HHC, it almost always comes from the lab.

THC (and delta-8) transform into HHC via hydrogenation. Natural hydrogenation happens slowly with little yield, but in lab conditions, chemists can harness the process to synthesize massive quantities of hemp-derived HHC.

The cannabinoid has relaxing and euphoric characteristics, initiated by binding with CB1 receptors. Researchers have detected two HHC enantiomers, known as alpha and beta HHC – the latter demonstrates more CB1 receptor activity.

What are HHC disposables?

HHC disposables are single-use vaping devices pre-filled with potent, hemp-derived HHC distillate. Manufactured for simplistic and efficient vaping, disposables are great for first-timers and those with on-the-go lifestyles.

Most disposable HHC vape pens contain terpenes, which may produce indica, sativa, or hybrid effects, making for increased energy or relaxation. However, HHC naturally tilts toward a calmer trip than other cannabinoids.

HHC disposable pens have built-in batteries. Chunky 2ml pens come fitted with USB charging ports, although recharging is often unnecessary with standard 1ml vapes.

Are HHC Disposables Safe?

Mostly. Vaping is safer than smoking, albeit not harmless. High-quality disposable HHC pens are safe, but not all products on sale in the U.S. market conform to a decent standard. Let’s look closely at ingredients and device materials used.

Ingredients

HHC distillate is the foundation of any HHC disposable, but not every brand uses premium-grade stuff. Most boast of using pure and super-potent distillate (90%+ HHC), but studies show that some hemp distillates fall well short of that.

Not all impurities are harmful – for instance, unconverted delta-8 found in HHC distillate will only make a vape juice less intense.

However, laboratory hydrogenation of HHC exposes the hemp extract to dangerous solvents and chemicals. If these are not properly removed during the refining process, the finished distillate could be teeming with dangerous byproducts.

Device materials

As single-use vapes, companies tend to manufacture disposables with cheaper materials than you would find in classic vaporizers. But cutting corners to lower costs can pose health risks, and you should be wary of suspiciously cheap HHC pens.

Never buy disposables made with arsenic, chromium, nickel, or lead. Experts have detected these metals in e-cigarette devices, which can cause heart problems and respiratory diseases. Choose ceramic or stainless steel disposable vapes instead.

It’s harder to avoid polycarbonate plastic vape tanks, but these are inferior to borosilicate glass. Chemicals can leach from the plastic into the e-liquid, affecting vapor and flavor quality.

HHC Disposables vs. Other Disposables

HHC Disposables vs. Other Disposables

The federally legal hemp industry is thriving, with numerous exciting and unique cannabinoids offering a range of experiences. But are you best served with an HHC disposable, or could you find more satisfaction from a delta-8, THC-O, or CBD pen?

HHC vs. Delta-8

Delta-8 and HHC are both THC-lite cannabinoids, although HHC more closely reflects THC’s potency. The compounds have slightly different characteristics, with HHC promoting relaxation and euphoria while delta-8 is more uplifting and cerebral.

Delta-8 is much better known as the first THC-style cannabinoid to make waves in the hemp market. However, that initial fame has brought delta-8 into legal focus, with many states now banning the cannabinoid. There are fewer restrictions on HHC.

I have found that HHC and delta-8 disposables can work in tandem. I enjoy energizing delta-8 in the mornings and afternoon and HHC as my day draws to a close.

HHC vs. THC-O

The scarcely believable THC-O is 200% stronger than THC (and roughly 300% more intense than HHC!). The cannabinoid produces a psychedelic and even spiritual high, putting it on another plain to the humble HHC.

But while THC-O disposables attract hardcore vapers, some find the potency too much and the effects a little weird. Moreover, vaporized THC-O doesn’t hit you right away, making it awkward to dose with and more prone to causing side effects.

If you vape HHC or even THC regularly and want something extra, consider experimenting with THC-O. But if you aren’t familiar with mind-bending cannabinoids, stick with the milder euphoria of HHC.

HHC vs. CBD

Non-intoxicating CBD promotes calm, relaxation, and a therapeutic experience sans the euphoria and reality-twisting effects of other cannabinoids.

CBD’s grounded nature is behind its widespread appeal and legal status, but it doesn’t do much for fun-loving vapers. In contrast, HHC can guide you to a calm and happy place while giving you a temporary break from reality.

However, pure CBD does not show up on drug tests, whereas HHC likely does. And CBD will definitely be legal for decades to come – we cannot be so sure about HHC.

HHC Disposables Near Me: Online Buyer’s Guide

Hopefully, one of my top three HHC disposable picks will take your fancy! However, if you are intrigued about how I selected my top three and what I look for in a high-grade disposable, this buyer's guide is for you!

Lab reports

Lab reports

Third-party certificates of analysis (COA) are essential for all HHC disposable pens. Don't trust brands that cannot give you this simple safety assurance.

Companies can legally sell hemp-derived HHC vapes without third-party approval, but there is no valid reason to shun independent lab testing. Vendors that cannot show you a lab report are probably trying to scam you with cheap or fake HHC.

A quality third-party report will provide a breakdown of the alpha and beta HHC amounts in a product so that you can gauge its effectiveness. Look for disposables with a high proportion of beta HHC.

Lab reports should also state how much delta-9-THC is in the disposable (must be less than 0.3%). But most HHC products do not contain any THC.

Brand reputation

Disposable vapes can be hit or miss, with some brands cutting corners on device quality and ingredients. Purchasing from well-known brands should help you avoid low-grade and even dangerous vape pens.

It's not worth chancing your cash on a new manufacturer, especially if you cannot discover much about their background. Sadly, the unregulated HHC market is a playground for scammers and fraudsters.

The brands with a favorable reputation and dedicated fanbase have earned their status through years of producing top-notch disposables. Some of today's leading HHC companies have been making vape pens since the start of the CBD boom.

Customer reviews

Product reviews are often a valuable resource in determining the quality and effectiveness of a disposable HHC vape. There is only so much you can glean from a product description and data-driven COA.

Customer reviews can highlight malfunctioning issues, harshness on the throat when vaping, product potency, and more. A previous buyer could also have information relevant to your situation.

You must ensure that reviews come from verified buyers. A spate of negative reviews could be the handiwork of a rival brand trying to sow doubt and concern about a competitor's products.

Can Drug Tests Detect HHC Disposables?

HHC is a THC derivative, so standard drug tests can probably pick it up. Strangely, internet rumors suggest that HHC is undetectable – at best, this is an evidence-free assumption, and at worst, it is plain wrong.

Because HHC products are new, we have no solid research on how the cannabinoid breaks down and its drug test detectability. But HHC is so molecularly similar to THC that it’s hard to believe drug tests would miss it.

However, you probably won’t test positive for taking one puff on an HHC disposable. Your dosage, consistency of use, and metabolism speed affect your likelihood of failing a test, as does the test’s sensitivity.

But in theory, HHC disposables could pose more drug test problems than THC vapes due to the potency difference. HHC’s weaker effects could entice you to take higher doses to make up for it, increasing your risk of failing.
