How We Came To Be

Our Origin Story

We started Genesis Wellness (CBD Genesis) the same way we do most things—on instinct and a little bit of chaos.

Julie and I have been in the wellness world for years, and we’ve both been cannabis advocates since the early 2000s. Julie volunteered with NORML after seeing how much cannabis helped her mom during ovarian cancer. So yeah, we’re passionate about this plant—and we’re also not afraid to jump when it feels right.

One day, we saw a guy on Facebook trying to sell his business. Two weeks later, we were on a plane, bought him out, and turned it into something very us. Most people call us crazy—but we’re crazy together, and honestly, it works.

We’ve been in business together for over 8 years in the spa industry, and we’ve built an entire career around helping people feel better—from the inside out. We're nationally credentialed educators in CBD massage and the endocannabinoid system (yes, we’re wellness nerds with PowerPoints), and we were among the first to create a professional-grade CBD line specifically for spas and therapists. CBD Genesis started as a way to bring clean, effective, hemp-based products into treatment rooms—and now, it’s in our med spa every day. We use it for pain relief, stress support, inflammation, and even post-treatment recovery. Our team swears by it. Our clients ask for it. And we genuinely use it ourselves—because we know what’s in it, and we know it works.

This brand is our unapologetic love letter to the plant: clean ingredients, functional results, and a little bit of fun baked in. No bros. No fluff. Just two women with a passion, a plane ticket, and a vision.

We’re plant enthusiasts and passionate entrepreneurs who believe in creating balance—in our lives, our businesses, and our bodies. As two high-vibing moms with a serious drive to make things happen, we built CBDGenesis to turn wellness into something real, effective, and actually fun. From spa rooms to boardrooms, we bring the same energy: grounded, intentional, and a little bit wild.

CBDGenesis started the way all great stories do—with a Facebook post and a spontaneous plane ticket. We saw a guy selling his CBD business, listened to our gut, pulled a tarot card (probably), and booked the flight. Most people call it impulsive. We call it divine timing.

Now we make clean, plant-based hemp products for pain relief, stress support, and high-vibing through whatever the universe throws at you.

    CBD Genesis Is Born.

    Founded in Florida, CBDGenesis began as a small local brand with a focus on accessible, plant-based wellness.

  • 2018

    CBD Goes Mainstream

    Following the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived CBD became federally legal, sparking a surge in product development and consumer demand. The CBDGenesis brand was poised to ride the wave of this emerging wellness movement.

  • 2024

    New Ownership

    Genesis gets a bold new look and purpose. More transparency. More grit. Same mission. Hemp-based. Women-owned. Keeping shit together—mostly.

  • 2025

    Reimagined & Rebranded

    This year, we stopped playing small. With bold new packaging, nationwide expansion, next-level testing transparency, and loyalty perks that actually feel rewarding, Genesis stepped fully into its power. Led by women, aligned with purpose, built for a bigger universe—because we’re not just in the game, we’re here to change it.
