CBD Genesis Pain Cream:

The market for topical CBD-infused creams has exploded in recent times. Research has shown that cannabinoid receptors from the endocannabinoid system are situated in the skin. This means that cannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD) can have therapeutic effects when applied externally.

As the name of this product suggests, CBD-rich creams can help with pains. They are also great for providing relief from inflammation and relaxing muscles, particularly post-exercise. We’ll touch more on these benefits later in the article.

Ingredients used

This CBD topical cream has been made with a full-spectrum CBD extract. The lab reports for both the 500 and 1000mg products confirm the high CBD content of these products, and that the amount of psychoactive THC is below the legal 0.3% limit.

Full-spectrum CBD is made with all of the hemp extract, and therefore contain trace quantities of other cannabinoids and terpenes. There may be limited research on many of these compounds in their individual state, but studies show CBD is more effective when part of a full extract, compared to when taken isolated.

This CBD Genesis Pain Cream is also made with beneficial essential oils, xantham gum and an organic alcohol extract of Salix Alba bark, which is a natural exfoliant for the skin.

Reasons for using a CBD cream

In this section, we’ll cover some general reasons for using the CBD Genesis Pain Cream. This list is not exhaustive, but should give you some guidelines for use.

Chronic pain relief

Lots of CBD products are thought to help with chronic pain - these include edibles, tinctures and e-liquids. However, for targeted relief from pain, topical products stand out. As the CBD stays in one place, the analgesic effects are all concentrated on the area where the CBD was applied. If you are managing lower back pain, for instance, the benefits will all be felt in this region.

How does CBD relieve pain? Scientists are not 100 percent sure on the mechanisms, just that it can have a positive effect. It is perhaps thanks to CBD inhibiting breakdown of the endocannabinoid anandamide (AEA). AEA is a CB1 receptor agonist, a cannabinoid receptor in the ECS that regulates pain sensitivity. Furthermore, CBD is a vanilloid receptor agonist - this receptor is not a part of the ECS, but it does affect how the body feels pain.

Inflammation relief

CBD is an excellent anti-inflammatory, so it’s possible to use CBD for arthritis pain. The two types of arthritis are rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.

Rheumatoid is an autoimmune disease - CBD may help here by restoring regulation to the ECS, and with it the immune system. Osteoarthritis is a result of wear and tear, and CBD can alleviate joint pain, and may work to repair damaged joint cartilage.

The reductive effect of CBD on inflammation means creams could also be used to treat swelling and bruising.

Muscle relaxation

The microscopic muscle tears which can occur after an intense workout are not, contrary to opinion, bad, but they can cause discomfort and soreness. Any of us who exercise are familiar with this pain, but it is manageable with a CBD cream for pain. Lather up, and you’ll help to alleviate the notorious aches which set in after working out.

I will NEVER let this product run out in my house. As soon as it arrived I rubbed some on my sore neck and within two minutes I could feel the relief. I also have recently lost 145 pounds and cannot sit for long periods of time without my tailbone hurting (less rump padding) ... last night I rubbed a very small amount on my tailbone and it helped sooo much! We have been doing a LOT of gardening and home improvement projects as its finally spring here in Michigan and I have used it on my achy hands and feet and my husbands shoulders and neck also... totally convinced this product can easily replace our regular OTC pain killer products. You really don't need a ton either. Just a dab will do ya!
